Kevin O'Sullivan

Gordian Enterprises Managing Director

Kevin has worked with portfolio managers, wealth managers, stockbrokers, fund managers, fund supermarkets, solicitors and accountants since 1980. Prior to forming Gordian Enterprises in 2005, he was an executive director with Lawshare.

His assignments have included: project management, business analysis, system design, system compliance, technical architecture / security and market and client analysis. Projects and responsibilities he has undertaken include: research into creating a new outsource provider to the wealth-management space; overseeing the development of a web-based order management system, a CREST Sponsorship service, an overseas custody service and a fund-dealing settlement and custody platform; migrating a business to a Model B solution.

Kevin is a Fellow of the chartered Institute of Securities & Investments, a Professional Member of The British Computer Society (Chartered IT Professional), Fellow of the Institute of Sales & Marketing, Member of the Institute of Directors, Member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, Member of Information Systems Security Association and a Fellow of the RSA.

When not working, Kevin is a youth leader in his local church, has a keen interest in military history, enjoys walking on the forest, and has set up a board games group with members aged from 16 to 80+.

Caroline Atkinson

Since 1984, Caroline has worked closely with stockbrokers and banks to analyse, develop and implement IT systems.

She has successfully migrated 10,000 clients from an in-house system to an outsource provider, including their associated transactions and accounting records. She also ran the data project that identified anomalies and errors in the data and resolved them using a combination of people and systems.

For 19 years, she was director of financial software company, Synchronicity, providing STP settlement systems, syndicated lending systems, bespoke programming and consultancy to a wide range of financial institutions. She was also responsible for customer services, and she managed and took part in many successful system implementations, upgrades and migrations. She has produced business, functional and technical requirements and specifications for a wide range of projects including stock-lending systems, product interfaces and accounting systems.

When she is not engrossed in the world of financial IT consultancy Caroline enjoys travel, fine white wines and good food, reading and crossword puzzles.


Ian Murray

Ian is a financial IT analyst and consultant who played a key role in the analysis and design of a successful data migration project for a stockbroker who was changing their primary system.

He has experience in banking and capital markets software design, development and business management gained since 1984.

He has been responsible for many broking and banking system implementations and migrations at all levels, including: business analysis; project planning; liaison with clients and suppliers; project management and implementation. He has worked on many other projects including advising a private client and asset management firm that was having difficulty integrating an acquired software supplier, helping them to bring a large list of problem projects under control.

He was director of financial software company, Synchronicity, for 19 years, providing STP settlement systems, syndicated lending systems, bespoke programming and consultancy to a wide range of financial institutions.

In his spare time he enjoys travel, books, barbecues, hefty red wines from Australia and enjoying the beautiful English countryside.
